Connect your Gmail

Bondr connects to Gmail through Google sign-in. When you first sign up, a setup wizard walks you through everything.

Onboarding steps

  1. Sign in with Google — Click "Sign in with Google" on the login page. This grants Bondr permission to read and send emails on your behalf.
  2. Choose your email mode — Pick Shared (your team sees the same inbox) or Individual (each member has their own inbox).
  3. Connect Gmail — Authorize your Gmail account. This is required for both modes.
  4. Name your workspace — Give your workspace a name (e.g., your company or team name).
  5. Invite your team (optional) — Send invitations to teammates by email.

Once complete, you're taken straight to your inbox.

How email sync works

After setup, Bondr syncs your emails in two ways:

  • Initial sync — Your existing emails are imported in the background. This may take a few minutes depending on your inbox size.
  • Real-time sync — New incoming emails appear automatically through Gmail push notifications. No manual refresh needed.
